A Little Bit About Us

Please note we are not open for business yet

We operate throughout the local area, carrying out efficient and effective wasp control services at all homes and businesses. We provide a wasp nest treatment and removal service in the Lancashire (UK) area. You can rely on us to help you during a wasp emergency as we offer a call out service 7 days a week.

We are not a large nation chain, we are a local business and pride ourselves on a friendly and personal service. No job is too big or too small. Whether your nest is in its infancy with just a few wasps or a well established nest with potentially tens of thousands of wasps we are here to help.

We are based in Leyland and cover nearby areas like Chorley, Euxton, Preston, Wigan and Southport and everywhere in between.

We understand that having strangers around to your home can be concerning for some people, especially the vulnerable. We want to give you peace of mind and ensure that you know you will be safe with our wasp nest removal experts which is why we are fully DBS/CRB checked giving you complete peace of mind.

Why Choose Us Our Guarantee

We offer a guarantee with all wasp nest treatments. Whilst we make every effort to ensure we kill off the wasp nest on the initial visit, for a number of reasons sometimes the first treatment may not work. If the nest has not been killed within 48 hours we will return to your property and carry out a second treatment for free and with no cost to yourself.

Why Choose Us Wasp Specialist in Lancashire

Unlike other pest control companies that treat a wide range of pests, Wasp Man specialise in the removal of wasp nests meaning our skills and experience are second to none.

We are able to treat and remove all types of wasps including:

  • German wasp ( Vespula germanica) - Sometimes called the German yellowjacket or European wasp, these are the most common wasp species in Britain
  • Common wasps (Vespula vulgaris) - Often referred to as the common yellow jacket or the European wasp
  • Red wasps (Polistes carolina) - This species is closely related to the German wasp, however Red Wasps prefer to live outside rural regions
  • European hornets (Vespa crabro) - This is the only species of hornets you will find in Britain. Whilst their sting is much more venomous and painful than other wasps, they are a far less aggressive in nature
  • Norwegian wasps (Dolichovespula norwegica) - These typically live in low branches of trees and shrubs
  • Tree wasps (Dolichovespula sylvestris) - These wasps create both underground and aerial nests but they are always suspended from an overhanging structure
  • Saxon wasps(Dolichovespula saxonica) - Looks similar to the yellow jacket but they are longer, approx 11mm to 15mm long
  • Median wasps (Dolichovespula media) - Always create aerial nests made from paper, typically found in trees / shrubs and under building eaves
